We are excited to announce the release of a new album, in two volumes, marking a juncture in the life and career of Glen Hansard.
“In the middle of a good life” as Glen warmly put’s it, he is making his way through a journey of “good fortune, goodwill and good energy” - captured so brilliantly through the music and performances on “Transmissions East & West”.
Recorded over two days on Glen’s 55th birthday in the iconic studio Funkhaus, in Berlin, the album encapsulates the essence and energy of Glen as a performer, a communicator and a story teller. As a true artist.
It’s a studio album, yet recorded live in front of an audience. A retrospective that brilliantly showcases the breadth of Glen’s talents and songwriting.
In addition to these two releases, the entire performance was filmed alongside interviews with Glen, the band and fans. Keep an eye out for these moments along the way. First up though we’re sharing the excellent performance of “Didn’t He Ramble” which you can watch via the button below."
