50 years ago, when we were 17, my friend Bruno Chenaille and I went on a trip to Bali in the summer of 1974.

 We joined FX Maurin. It was rootsy. Kuta was fields of coconut palms and we'd get lost on the trails to Uluwatu, where there was nothing. We surfed single fin between 7' and 8', with homemade leashes. This film is a testimony to that trip, reflecting the spirit of 70's surfing. - Gibus de Soultrait
