That day, professional surfer Patrick Beven was almost killed.
But the 40-year-old Franco-Brazilian is constantly preparing himself to face all types of conditions and situations.
In this portrait, he looks back on one of his worst wipeouts and invites us to discover his daily life as a top-level athlete: training in the pool, Jiu-jitsu and MMA sessions with Marcus Buchecha, surf trips to Morocco with big wave rider Jérôme Sahyoun, not forgetting moments of sharing with Pedro Scooby, Billy Kemper and Nic Von Rupp.
