Pond
Longboard Surf Film by Cameron Staunton feat. Izzy Henshall in Australia

Pond: “a small body of still water formed naturally or by artificial means” - pretty much sums up what it looked like every surf.

Due to our setting out to shoot a longboard film, it meant we were hunting for the sheltered coves with little left-handers, and we definitely managed to find a few. More often than not; Cameron found himself staring down the lens at the surf doing its best pond impersonation… hence the name

Pond is a 17-minute surf film shot by Cameron Staunton on our road trip down the east coast of Australia, and also starring Tosh Tudor here in Noosa. It features clips from the southernmost points of mainland Australia (was colder than expected), all the way up to crocodile territory at one of the northernmost surfable spots on the East Coast.

Key takeaways from the trip:

・ Take thermals when camping in SA in the winter
・ Don’t leave your board sock out in the rain on the first night of the trip
・ BBQ sauce goes well in spagbol
・ River mouths are sharky
