Prenda Mia - My Darling

For this year’s film, we decided to venture to Mexico - somewhere I’d only ever dreamed of surfing. I’d imagined those beautiful, long lefts, finishing a day in the water sunburnt and sore, with a plate of tasty tacos and a margarita waiting at the end as the sun dipped below the horizon.
With zero Spanish between us, we quickly became very familiar with the phrase “No hablo español” - which made getting around an interesting challenge. Thankfully, we had my good friend and photographer Anna-Marie along for the ride. Originally from the Netherlands and now living in Mexico, she’s fluent in Spanish and became our unofficial translator, navigator and lifesaver along the way.
I haven’t released a surf film for a while, so this one feels particularly special. I’m so excited to finally share it, especially after scoring some incredible waves and having so many adventures in between.
