Definition: "Pastiche" - A pastiche is a creative work of art, literature, music, theater, or architecture that deliberately copies the style, character, or techniques of another artist, or blends multiple distinct styles into a single piece.
Definition: "Parallel" - The word parallel most commonly means side by side and the same distance apart all the way along, never touching or meeting.
‘Pastiche Parallel’ profile's Tate Kim & his distinct approach applied through Derrick Disney’s board designs. It felt fitting for Tate to hop on some backyard built boards starting with a hand-me-down keel fish and making his way to the twinzer short board. The film provides an abstract chronicle of this process and celebrates feeling forward surfing with friends. We hope you enjoy : )
