The WSL came out of quarantine and the best surfers in the world came straight up to Newcastle this week.

Some competitors had been here during a QS season but some had never surfed in Newcastle before.

We had the full range of conditions – messy, onshore and rainy to start with, then on Thursday Dixon Park turned on – large and offshore most of the day.

The swell died down and petered out completely by Sunday.
