For his 30th birthday, Charly Quivront’s inner circle paints an intimate portrait of an exceptional surfer.
Through decades of archival footage, the film retraces the journey of a kid from Charente-Maritime, shaped by the unpredictable waves of the Atlantic, all the way to international competitions where he strives to leave his mark.
Between travels, encounters, and legendary sessions, Charly asserts his unique style and a free vision of surfing — driven by passion, friendship, and the quest for the perfect wave.

The MASCARAS project draws its strength from the symbolism of Mexican masks — powerful emblems of transformation and inner force.
Deeply rooted in the country’s culture, these masks both protect and reveal, embodying the duality between shadow and light, calm and intensity.
This duality also runs through the film: during their trip to Mexico, the surfers explore spots with contrasting personalities — some peaceful and contemplative, others raw, powerful, and untamed.
This interplay between serenity and chaos mirrors the search for balance in surfing, but also in each individual, navigating between control and letting go.
MASCARAS ultimately celebrates the union of strength, spirituality, and freedom.

Bound by his limitations — both personal and geographical — young Pipou leads a somewhat withdrawn life.
Some might call him shy; others might say he’s simply naïve.
But the truth probably lies in the fact that our friend hasn’t yet tasted the joys life has to offer.
Realizing that his worldview is confined to only a tiny corner of what his life could be, Pipou decides to push beyond his overwhelming shyness and embrace experiences that once felt completely out of reach.
Surfing, talking to people, traveling… in short, living.
We invite you to follow the emancipation of little Pipou in all its beauty.
