Part-time teachers on the Ré Island, they travel the globe the other six months of the year.
When asked what they are looking for in these trips, they answer:
"We go surfing as a family and meet other cultures.
We go to live our dream of a simple life far from overconsumption.
We go to meet others.
But also of ourselves.
We have to manage with half of our income, but it leaves us time.
A lot of time! "
In this 52-minute documentary, we travel on an immersion with them in Indonesia, where as in any true adventure, nothing goes as planned.
We then head to a completely different destination, unexpected to say the least...
Head for Ireland!

Bahia de Huatulco, Oaxaca State, Mexico, October 2020.
The professional surfer Damien Castera joins Caroline, Corentin and Guénolé on board the now famous "Nomade des mers", a catamaran in the middle of a world tour, discovering Low-tech innovation and pioneering sustainable and solidarity-based innovation.
What is "low-tech"?
Unlike "High-tech", it can be defined as a set of sober and clean technologies.
These technologies are economical, locally manufactured, with a low ecological impact, repairable and often appeal to our creativity.
A set of simple skills that meet our essential needs: food, energy, water, health.
This is innovation, but in a completely different way.
For several weeks, they will combine their fields of expertise to unite surfing and low-tech.
An expedition in complete autonomy thanks to the means of the edge between repair of an old board thanks to Mycelium (vegetative apparatus of the mushroom), food cultivated in the biosphere (spirulina, salads...), cooking with the solar oven and breeding of crickets...
All this, with only one instruction on board: to let oneself be carried by the rhythm of the waves and the winds, transforming the stopovers into surfing sessions between the sunrises and sunsets.
