OUT OF LINE (Duvi)
2026 (France)
37 minutes
Trailer: https://youtu.be/UcerbyH0ak4
Directed by Pierre Frechou
Produced by Oxbow
On January 14, 2025, rider Vincent Duvignac falls inside a barrel and breaks his cervical vertebrae.
A legend of the shifting sandbanks of Les Landes, Duvi had spotted and surfed this secret spot many times before.
An ephemeral beachbreak, like the hundreds he had surfed throughout his life.
But that day, his career takes a dramatic turn.
Forcing him onto a new path.
The path back to the water, in search of his unique style and the self-confidence needed to surf barrels the way only he knows how.
Over several months, filmmaker Pierre Frechou followed Duvi closely, capturing his intimacy and his fight to return—perhaps one day—to the highest level.
A documentary in Vincent’s image: sincere and passionate, to be discovered in an exclusive preview in France.
THE RIFT (Maud Le Car)
2026 (France)
21 minutes
Trailer: https://youtu.be/8QyLCuFtqBs?si=lNxZXC6L6vh70TEu
Directed by Raffaello D’Errico
Produced by Oxbow
On January 27, 2025, surfer Maud Le Car rides Belharra for the first time.
Storm Herminia sends XXL waves to the coast, with the Arcachon buoy reporting over 11 meters…
Two days earlier, her teammate Léo Havion calls her to tell her to be ready: the day is shaping up to be as historic as the Hercules swell of 2014…
Having decided to step away from competition the previous year to focus on new sensations through free surfing, is she ready?
Trained enough and confident enough?
Her early winter has been intense, with step-off training and the pursuit of heavy barrels in Hossegor.
Produced by OXBOW and directed by Raffaello D’Errico, the documentary THE RIFT follows Maud Le Car throughout the winter of 2024/2025, from powerful sessions in the Landes to the iconic wave of Belharra.
KIKIRIBU (Kepa)
2026 (Espagne)
19 minutes
Trailer: https://youtu.be/BSf9sQBTWzw
Directed by Jon Aspuru
Produced by Oxbow
If you grew up watching Kepa Acero’s GoPro-style exploration videos, you’re going to love his new film KIKIRIBU.
A raw, authentic journey in which Kepa, joined by a community of surfers from Havana, travels across Cuba to connect with the local scene.
Edited by Jon Aspuru, the film immerses us in a truly roots surf trip, where the route is shaped by the locals met along the way.
Surfing becomes an excuse to discover Cuba’s rich culture and the way of life of its people.
