RAME POUR TA PLANETE
52 min - 2020 - France

Directed by Sabina Hourcade and Lucie Francini

Surfers are privileged witnesses to the fragility of the oceans and the catastrophic degradation of the environment.

In the Basque Country, in the fall of 2018, inspired by the marches for the climate, a dozen people decide to act together to be the voice of the ocean and mobilize their community.

For ten months, tirelessly, whatever the weather conditions and the state of the ocean, they paddle everywhere on the coast to express their awareness of the climate emergency and to call for individual and collective change.

This film, Rame pour ta Planète, is the story of this mobilization.

ALTERNATIVA
17 minutes - 2018 (USA) - Original version with French subtitles
Director: Zach Weisberg and produced by The Inertia

In Summer of 2018, The Inertia traveled to El Salvador with Kassia Meador, Leah Dawson, and Lola Mignot, three outstanding women who are inspiring the next generation of ocean lovers through their alternative approach to both surfing and life.

Each has developed a strong voice as a leader in surfing, and managed to do so on her own terms.

They ride the boards they want, spearhead projects that speak to their passions, and keep their eyes peeled for interesting ways to engage that fascinating nexus where surfing and the rest of the world collide.

(RE)GENERATION

7 min – 2020 - vostfr

Directed by Glen Casey (Australia)

Filmmaker Glen Casey and his daughter Willow travel to the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef.

This short film is a moving story of a father coming to terms with an uncertain future for his daughter as she faces the worst weather and fires in Australia's history.

"RUN (Rencontres Urbaines de Nancy) was born from an observation: who can still miss urban cultures?

Dynamic and influential, in all fields - art, music, lifestyle, sports - they inspire and make people dream.

Numbers of festivals are held in France and in Europe today, bringing together different generations and various audiences.

However, an event capable of bringing together this milieu, these urban culture circles, around long-term reflections, is still missing."

It is this summer 2021 that everything begins.

The zero edition welcomes you: exhibitions, concerts, screenings, meetings await you.
