RIDE A WHITE HORSE

(1968) - VO - 1h18

Trailer: www.vimeo.com/ondemand/rideawhitehorse

Directed by Bob Evans

Bob Evans presents the most influential surfers of the time, Bob McTavish and Nat Young.

It shows an important period in the history of surfing, still wonderful decades later.

We see Young and McTavish sharing endless waves and slowly testing different approaches.

George Greenough even made an appearance there on the Knee Board.

Evans had previously made surf films and was a pioneer in Australian cinema in the 1950s and 1960s.

He was also a major influencer in the surf culture.

After "THE ENDLESS SUMMER", the surf movies were no longer for small theaters.

In 1968, famous movie distributors demanded "surfing adventures" and Evans provided this spectacular content.

Besides the sublime and exciting 16 / 35mm images of Australian beaches, "RIDE A WHITE HORSE" also has one of the best jazz soundtracks composed by Sven Libae.
