The absurdity of scoring good waves

20/06/2025 - 15:35
What does it really take to find good waves?

In this surf documentary, part comedy, I (Dylan Graves) attempt to unravel the chaotic, beautiful and downright ridiculous process of the quest for the perfect surf, from over-analysing weather charts to smashing boards on 7km long sandbanks. Introducing ‘The Absurdity of Finding Good Waves’, a surfing journey in four parts: forecast, sand, endurance and, finally... magic.

Whether you're an experienced surfer or just wondering what kind of madman would be willing to drop everything to chase tubes around the world, this article is for you.
