An afternoon at Rincon with Frankie Seely

For our first installment, we caught up with Frankie Seely on a sunny afternoon at a "secret" spot along the California coastline to log some time on her new board from Oceanside shaper Michael Takayama.

A consummate Malibu local, Seely has been surfing First Point since her dad took her out at the age of two. At 13, she began surfing competitively, and since then has expanded into a multi-hyphenate artist, surfer, editor and businessperson.

Though Seely may be most at home in Los Angeles County, this session took her a little farther North, to Rincon. She danced across the kind of waves that only The Queen of the Coast could deliver.
