In November of 2021, after a stint in Europe, surfing’s first Olympic gold medalist Italo Ferreira made good on his promise to visit fellow Billabong team rider Cherif Fall in Dakar, Senegal.

Also joined by up-and-coming South African talent Joshe Faulkner, they found a thriving surf community that rivals anywhere in the world.
