Please help us welcome Tom Morat, our newest surf ambassador to our growing team & check out his recent trip with film maker Ryan Jones and the open coastline. 

Who better to supply our latest member with a literary tow in than his proud mother:

Born in New Caledonia, Tom Morat took his first steps on a homemade surfboard over the coral reef breaks dotting the surrounding lagoon. Half French, half Australian, he arrived in Oz to start high school and quickly lost his cute French accent.

Already having had his dad show him how to wield a planer over blanks, at 15 he asked Doc if he could do work experience at Thomas.

He’s been there ever since, growing his skill sets from sanding, to fin & board shaping for Thomas and himself.

Tom’s love for wide-ranging surf craft matches for his passion for travelling far and wide.

He’s surfed in festivals from Fiji, Indo, and France to Mexico and many others spots in between.

He’s also a lover of learning, with a degree in Trivia from YouTube University.

His latest passions for sailing his Hobie cat and learning the intricate moves of Jiu-jitsu might be just enough to calm his self-diagnosed ADHD….

Unless he gets the green light to travel again, in which case…
