Before starting an edit or a movie project, I usually make a reel of all the clips we were able to acquire from the days we spent filming.
The reels help to get an idea of what we are working with, what we may need more of, and what music to use for the actual edit or project.
These reels are basically the roughest of drafts.
Most of these reels are password protected videos on my Vimeo account and are usually twice as long as the final edit.
They have all types of Throwaway clips and wipeouts, etc...
After going back and watching a few of these videos, I realized that I actually liked some of them more than the final project that they were cut into.
Haha, anyways ... I thought I'd post this one of @kaihing1 from a trip to an empty, and extremely fun looking beach break in 2018.
