Tom Wegener was waiting for the right day to launch the new mini-toothpick. The board, made for Hunter Williams, was inspired by the late Bill Wallace, who taught Tom the dynamics of making toothpicks. Tom was keen to share this knowledge with 10 year old Hunter, a budding young Noosa shaper.

It was worth the wait. Tom, Hunter and friends experience surfing Australia's most iconic, heritage surfboard, the toothpick, on a magic day in Noosa. You can see and feel the stoke.

“It shows how incredible the toothpick is as a surfboard. With down the line speed and control it offers perfect trim on a wave. Skip Frye says perfect trim is the ultimate surfing experience, and I have to agree,”  Tom says.

Tom Wegener, Hunter Williams and friends in search of perfect trim. Watch it now.
