PERSPECTIVES is a surf film created through travel, experimentation, and curiosity. Filmed across Sri Lanka, Indonesia and New Zealand, the project follows different waves, cultures, environments, and surf crafts exploring how changing your board can completely change the way you see a wave, and even the way you experience surfing itself.
More than just a performance film, PERSPECTIVES was created to inspire people to step outside of routine, try something different and reconnect with the freedom that surfing is really about. For Lil, each board offered a new feeling, a new train of thought and ultimately, a new perspective.
The film reflects my own personal perspective of surfing and travel, while hopefully encouraging others to go explore their own - whether that’s through surfing, creativity, travel, or life in general. At its core, it’s a reminder that things don’t always have to be so serious. Sometimes the best experiences come from simply being open to something new.
