Roaring Shippys

29/05/2025 - 10:31
It’s been over a year…
But when the Roaring Forties send for you — you go.

This time, the call came with fury: a storm tearing out of the Indian Ocean, 125 km/h winds at its core, hurtling straight for Tasmania with one mission — wake the beast.

Shipstern Bluff.
One of the most remote, raw, and cinematic waves on Earth.

But it’s never easy. A west swell has to thread the needle past Cape Raoul. Most miss. Some crawl through. This one… bent just enough. And with offshore winds and bluebird skies, the stage was set.

What followed was nothing short of spectacular.

Locals like Mikey Brennan, Noah Hassett, Tyler Hollmer-Cross, and Lizzy Stokely stood tall. Max McGuigan, Lex O’Connor, Kipp Caddy, and Genji Pitt made the journey. Jack Baker and Max Dodshon charged on bodyboards. Everyone knew the stakes.

This is ROARING SHIPPYS.
This is the day we scored.

PS Watch it 4K..
