“The ocean doesn’t ask who you are, it just waits for you. It teaches you to fall...and to rise again,” says Satria in the film. A portrait of a talented young Balinese surfer with his whole life (and countless waves) ahead of him, TIME WILL TELL is a story about growing up with the ocean and finding your own path, wherever it may lead.
For Satria, surfing is more than a hobby or even passion. It’s a way of life and a connection to his island home. And while his talent in the water is undeniable, it’s his outlook on life that makes this young grom one to watch.
Growing up in Bali, Satria has developed a deep respect for the natural world and the traditions passed down through his family. His father, in particular, has taught him that the lessons learned in the ocean are just as important on land.

Through Satria’s story, TIME WILL TELL encourages the next generation to dream big and embrace their authentic selves, knowing that the road ahead won't always be smooth. There will be wipeouts along the way, but each one is an opportunity to learn, and every new wave is another chance to get it right.
With his whole life ahead of him, Satria is only beginning to discover where surfing might take him. But one thing is already clear: the values he's learning today will stay with him long after he leaves the water. As for what the future holds? Only time will tell.
