It’s been a whopping 24 hours since we kicked our annual Stab Highway road war into gear like a rally car with no brakes, fueled by Monster Energy.
Days two and three are about to get increasingly busy as the novelty of being confined to a Ford Expedition XL with four surfers, two filmers, and all of their accompanying gear has worn off, and the reality of this Stab Highway competition has set in.
We noticed a few of you chirping at last week’s episode about there not being enough surfing — lucky for you, the northern reaches of Florida must’ve listened back in September, because the sandbars from New Smyrna to Jacksonville decided to turn up the waves and the sharks for this episode, with each team ticking off multiple surf challenges while circumventing attacks in conditions that most Floridians would consider overhead and firing.
